Retro Junk
January 27th, 2006I stumbled across this website today, RetroJunk.com . Well, ok, that’s not quite true. I was watching YouTube videos and I noticed the url in the corner of the screen. I didn’t stumble, it was a deliberate journey.
It’s a pretty neat site, too. It’s got trailers from movies, intros from television shows and commercials from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. The only thing that’s really missing is the toys and I find myself *really* missing stuff about toys (except the commercials). What I’d really like to see is pictures and memories of specific toys.
All in all, though, it’s a very cool site. It’s a Wiki, so people can add quotes from movies and shows or episode guides. There’s a ratings system on the commercials so members can list off which commercials they remember (or don’t remember).
If you’re feeling a little pop culture nostalgic, it’s a pretty cool site to waste some time on.
