Tech Love
April 1st, 2007Daisy has an admirer.
I never would have expected the smart phone to find love, but find it she did in the form of a BlackBerry.
Recently I’ve been getting strange calls from a friend. The phone would ring with her specific ring tone, but when I answered, all I could hear was the inside of her purse. I couldn’t understand why her purse was calling me so often. She couldn’t figure it out either and I was the only one who got random calls from the inside of her purse.
We were talking the other night and realized there was only one answer to this strange situation. SmackFairy wasn’t calling ME, but Daisy. There was some kind of clandestine romance budding between the two intelligent phones. SmackFairy had even assigned my phone number to “P” (the most likely button to get pressed and held on accident) - we know SF did it because my friend doesn’t know how to do that.
But we’re progressive people and see no reason to prevent these two devices from their bizarre union. In fact, just think of the offspring! The TreoBerry would probably bring a good chunk of change on the black market.
So we decided we will get them together and see what comes of it. Then we will sell the TreoBerry on the black market.
Then we will buy Romania.
Oh hells yeah.
cute!

So whenever I get a call from the inside of someone’s purse or jacket, I should just assume my cell phone was waiting for a booty call? Fair enough… who am I to judge.

I think it only applies if it 1) happens on a regular basis, 2) only happens with *your* phone and 3) the person who owns the calling phone has absolutely no idea why it happens (to you and you alone).
But, who knows? I mean cell phones may have an incredibly active social live amongst themselves. Maybe they’re getting to know each other every time we connect…
